Model Shoot with Riley
As a photographer, there are times when you need to add new life to your portfolio and link up with local models for a model shoot. Most of the time it is boudoir photographers that are looking for models for model shoots, but there are times when others need it. At the beginning of the summer I found myself in that position, where I needed some new material. I had the perfect place in mind for the shoot with Riley…… the beach. I love being in, on, under, around the water (I spent 21 years in the Coast Guard after all). So I had the perfect location and needed the talent. That was when I linked up with the amazing Riley. Riley is a local model that I had been dying to work with as soon as I saw her work. SHH don’t tell her I am a fan-boy of hers.
After settling on a location and day, we finally met, and it was not the perfect day…….at least for a photographer. It was super windy, so I couldn’t use the light I wanted. It was super-hot, so I dropped sweat inside my camera as I was switching lenses. I would have had a million excuses if my photos of Riley sucked. Despite of everything that went wrong……. look at these photos of her. Needless to say, I got plenty of great and new material for my portfolio.
